When to see what
Frequently asked questions
Dolphins are there all year round. Great hammerheads are seen from November to April, and grey reef sharks gather to breed from February to June, at the full moon.
A community of bottlenose dolphins lives all year round in the Tiputa pass and often crosses paths with divers. Encounters are never provoked or guaranteed: no bait, no touching, no chasing, in line with the regulations. The dolphins come because they choose to, most often on an incoming current.
From November to April. They are met off the pass, and an encounter is always a matter of luck, never a guarantee.
From February to June, around the full moon, grey reef sharks gather to breed. It is one of the themed dives that follow the moon.
You can dive all year round, and each season has its encounters: dolphins all year, hammerheads from November to April, grey reef sharks from February to June.
